There are moments in Loki’s life when he thinks he can’t despise his brother any more than he does; like when he’s being arrogant and stubborn and selfish—when he’s being adored and praised by everybody else, including their father. And then there are the moments, like this one, when Loki looks at Thor—at strength, ferocity and bravery all in one— and he remembers all too clearly how much he loves his brother more.
